History of the Plumbing Contractors Association
The Plumbing Contractors Association was founded in 1952. Our first President was Alexander Orr III, Vice- President was H.L. Robertson and Secretary was W.L. Pennell.
The nature and objects of the Association:
1.) The sponsorship of more modern, adequate and safe plumbing
2.) The advancement of sanitation and the education of the public concerning sanitation.
3.) The continuance of suitability in employer-employee relations in the Plumbing Contraction Industry.
4.) To carry on institutional advertising, public relations programs, and promotional activities for the good of the public and the plumbing contracting industry.
5.) The furtherance of apprenticeship standards and activities.
6.) The encouragement of laws relating to sanitation and the better enforcement thereof.
7.) Educational activities relating to the Plumbing Contracting Industry.
Since 1952, the Plumbing Contractors Association has carried-out its mission. The key to Plumbing Contractors Association's success is the professionalism, experience, expertise and comprehensive training and activities available to its members. Today, the Plumbing Contractors Association main office is located at 7204 SW 48th Street Miami, FL and currently has over 60 members from Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
Throughout its history, the Plumbing Contractors Association has held membership meetings at our facility located in Miami-Dade county, thus showing that the association's long and fruitful history and that it expects to remain a critical part of the Miami-Dade construction industry. The Plumbing Contractors Association has a long and successful history and expects to live up to it for a long time to come.

Purposes and Activities
The PLUMBING CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION is centrally located in Miami, Florida and is a Not-for-Profit organization founded to promote the image and direction of the plumbing industry and to provide services and guidance to its members that will help them operate more effectively and profitably. In order to carry out its mission, the Plumbing Contractors Association devotes its resources for the following purposes and activities:
- Education and training efforts for its membership.
- Acting as an industry voice on issues related to government, vendors and suppliers, customers and association members participating in various governmental meetings to be able to keep our members informed.
- Fostering improved communications and harmonious relations among association members, vendors and suppliers, governmental employees and customers.
- Acts as an industry information resource and network for association members.
- Providing needed services that improve association member effectiveness and productivity.
- Networking events to promote a laid back environment to meet others in the industry.
