Required Continuing Education for Miami-Dade County
Every 2 years on odd numbered years, Journeymen must renew their license and submit proof of having completed a minimum of 16 hours for Miami-Dade County of Continuing Education. The Plumbing Contractors Association offers a 16 hour Continuing Education class held 2 consecutive weekends at various times during the year. This class is taught by a County approved instructor and covers the areas of the Florida Code Parts 1-7, Safety on the Job, Workers Compensation and Laws and Rules Regulating the Construction Industry meeting the requirements needed to renew your license.
The Plumbing Contractors Association offers these classes for at a rate of $150.00. Each registration includes lunch, handout materials and Certificate of Completion once successfully completed.
Classes are held once a month in the months of July, August and September on odd number years.
